OWN has acquired the network television rights to “Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” co-starring network founder Oprah Winfrey, for the the first broadcast window beyond pay television beginning in 2017. Starring Forest Whitaker, “Butler” had grossed more than $107 million through Sept. 24.
